About SOBA America

Know Us Better

SOBA America, short for the Sierra Leone Old Boys Association America, is a vibrant and committed organization uniting alumni of Saint Joseph’s College Sasse, Cameroon. We are a network of former students who share a deep sense of gratitude, loyalty, and commitment to giving back to the institution that shaped our formative years.

We are dedicated to sustaining the Sasse legacy by promoting educational excellence, mentorship, professional development, and community service among our members and current students alike.

Brief History

The Sasse Alumni Association traces its origins to Saint Joseph’s College Sasse, one of the oldest and most respected secondary schools in Cameroon, established in 1939 by the Mill Hill Missionaries. Over the decades, the school has produced outstanding leaders, professionals, and innovators who continue to make meaningful contributions in Cameroon, Africa, and across the world.

SOBA America was founded as part of this global network to unite Sasse Old Boys residing in North America. The association provides a platform for fellowship, service, and support — helping members connect, collaborate, and contribute to the continued growth of their alma mater.
